There is no tea in Rome. There is only the question of whether to stand at the bar.

Stand at the bar. Always. The price doubles when you sit, and so does the distance between you and the thing you came for. The man behind the counter has made ten thousand of these this week. The cup is small and warm. You are in and out in four minutes, the way the city wants you to be.

I came here looking for tea. I left understanding why no one in Rome was looking for tea.
